What We Ask

Admissions Requirements

A clear outline of what prospective students should prepare before applying.

Audition Material

  • A short recording (audio or video) demonstrating your current ability on your instrument or voice — two to three minutes is sufficient.

  • For beginners with no prior training, a brief statement describing your interest in music and what you hope to achieve.

  • If you have performed publicly, you may include links to recordings, live performances, or online content.

  • All audition material is reviewed as an opportunity to understand your starting point, not to exclude applicants.

Previous Experience

  • No minimum level of experience is required. We welcome absolute beginners, developing musicians, and advanced performers alike.

  • Applicants with prior training should be prepared to discuss their background, including any previous instruction, ensemble participation, or self-directed study.

  • Basic literacy in English is expected, as all instruction and mentorship are conducted in English.

  • Access to an instrument or practice space is recommended but not required at the enquiry stage; our team can provide guidance on suitable options.

Additional Considerations

For younger applicants (under 14), a parent or guardian should be involved in the enquiry and consultation process.

Online learners will need a reliable internet connection, a device capable of video calls, and any instrument or equipment relevant to their chosen programme.

Admission decisions are made on a rolling basis. Following your consultation, you will receive a written recommendation outlining the programme, format, and next steps best suited to your goals.
